Malody Syrup is a medication formulated to address appetite loss and associated weight loss. Its active components are cyproheptadine and tricholine. Cyproheptadine operates by inhibiting the action of serotonin, a chemical substance in the body that functions as an appetite suppressant.
This mechanism contributes to an increase in hunger and the desire to eat, particularly in individuals who are undernourished or malnourished. Tricholine citrate is also included, which contributes to the removal of bile acids from the body, influencing fat metabolism. This medication is not recommended for use in children under 1 year of age.
Prior to use, the bottle should be shaken thoroughly. Patients should inform their healthcare provider about any other medications they are currently taking or any existing medical conditions. Should adverse effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, altered coordination, or confusion occur or intensify after administration, medical consultation is advised.

If you have missed taking any dose of Malody Syrup, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Malody Syrup should be used during pregnancy only when prescribed by the doctor after considering it to be safe and necessary during pregnancy.
Malody Syrup is not recommended while breastfeeding due to limited safety data available. Thus consult your doctor before using this medicine.
If you experience dizziness, drowsiness, blurry vision after taking Malody Syrup, avoid driving.
Alcohol should not be consumed with Malody Syrup. It may increase the side effect profile and cause excessive drowsiness, dizziness. Talk to your doctor if you consume it often.
