Menotech 150iu Injection

Menotech Injection is used to treat infertility in women who are not ovulating (producing an egg) properly and male infertility (men with low sperm count). It contains human menopausal gonadotropin or hMG (also called Menotropin ) as its active ingredient, which belongs to a class of medications known as a sex hormone. Menotech Injection will be given to you by a doctor or nurse.

Avoid self-injecting this medicine. Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from, before starting treatment with Menotech Injection.

Dosage

The doctor and nurse usually give this Menotech Injection; the chances of overdose are less because the treatment and the dose will be specific to the patient. However, in case of any discomfort after or during the treatment with this medicine, it should be informed immediately to the doctor.

The doctor or nurse usually gives Menotech Injection in the hospital or a clinic. Therefore, the chances of missing a dose are less. However, if you feel that a dose has been missed, then please inform your doctor and nurse.

Talk to your doctor if

• You experience symptoms like pain and swelling in the stomach, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, difficulty in breathing, producing less urine etc. It can be a sign of a high level of activity in ovaries and it can be severe. In such situation, you should immediately receive treatment in hospital.
• You experience any kind of such symptoms even after stopping the treatment with Menotech Injection.
• You observe weight gain during the treatment.
• You are overweight, have any kind of blood disorder or have a family history with blood clotting disease, which can increase the risk of blood clot formation inside the blood vessels in pregnant women.
• During the treatment with Menotech Injection or such hormonal medicine, you may be at the risk of multiple pregnancies (pregnant with more than one child), ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside of the womb), or miscarriage.
• Regular check on dose and symptoms helps in reducing the risk of getting these symptoms.
• The doctor might suggest ultrasounds and blood tests to monitor your response to treatment.
