Metacin 500mg tablets contain paracetamol as an active ingredient. It belongs to the analgesic/antipyretic (pain relief and fever control) class of medicines. This medicine relieves pain in form of headache, joint pain, body ache, flu-like symptoms, toothache, menstrual pain, backache, etc.
Avoid taking the medicine if you are suffering from kidney and/or liver disease.
Individuals may experience side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, sweating, etc. More complications are profuse sweating, irritability, fits, coma, bleeding, low blood sugar.
