Methimez Tablet contains methimazole as an active ingredient. It is used in the treatment of overproduction of hormones by the thyroid gland and this condition is known as hyperthyroidism. This medicine works by inhibiting the synthesis of thyroid hormone and helps to treat hyperthyroidism.

Nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, skin rashes are some side effects of this medicine, these are temporary and disappear on their own. If side effects persist or there is no improvement in your condition, then inform your doctor.

• Symptoms of overdose include nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, headache, fever, joint pain, urge to scratch, and swelling.
