Mox Kid Tablet is an antibiotic medication formulated with amoxicillin as its active ingredient. It is prescribed for the treatment of a range of bacterial infections affecting various body systems. These include infections of the respiratory tract, such as the lungs, airways, tonsils, and throat, as well as skin infections and urinary tract infections.
Additionally, this medication is indicated for the management of certain sexually transmitted diseases, specifically gonorrhoea, and plays a role in reducing the risk of ulcer recurrence associated with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) bacterial infections. Amoxicillin works by interfering with the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, which is essential for bacterial survival, thereby halting the growth and multiplication of the causative bacteria.

Misuse or unnecessary administration of antibiotics can contribute to the development of antibiotic resistance, rendering future treatments ineffective. Patients must complete the entire course of medication as directed by their physician to ensure eradication of the infection and prevent relapse.
The symptoms of an overdose of Mox Kid Tablet includes nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting. In case of an overdose, contact the doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
You should never miss your dose of antibiotics as it may lead to treatment failure and relapse of the infection. If you miss a dose of Mox Kid Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the medicine schedule.
