Moxi D Eye Drop is a combination medicine containing the antibiotic moxifloxacin and steroid dexamethasone. These Eye Drop are used to treat various bacterial infections of the eyes and prevent the further risk of infection. It is also used to reduce inflammation of the eyes especially post-surgery.
Moxi D Eye Drop is meant for ocular (eye) use and should be used externally only. Do not ingest this medicine. Avoid touching the dropper with your hands or with your eye.
Use this medicine exactly as recommended by your doctor. Do not use this medicine on your own. These Eye Drop should not be used in children below 18 years of age.
As this Eye Drop is meant for external application cases of an overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have applied extra quantities of it wipe out the excess of the medicine with tissue or cotton.
If you have missed instilling a dose of Moxi D Eye Drop, instill it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not over-use this medicine to compensate for the missed instillation.
There is limited information on the effect of Moxi D Eye Drops in pregnancy. This Eye Drop should be used in pregnancy only if recommended by your doctor.
