Moxtif Eye Drop is an ocular antibiotic and steroid medication. It contains a combination of moxifloxacin and loteprednol as active substances. Moxtif Eye Drop is used in the treatment of inflammation (redness, pain, swelling) of the eye after eye surgery which may be associated with a bacterial infection.
It works by reducing inflammation and killing the infection-causing bacteria. Moxtif Eye Drop is meant for ocular (eye) use and should be used externally only. Do not ingest this medicine.
Avoid touching the dropper with your hands or with your eye. This eye drop should not be used in children under 18 years of age. Use Moxtif Eye Drop exactly as recommended by your doctor.
Do not use this medicine on your own.
As Moxtif Eye Drop are meant for external application, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have instilled an extra quantity of the eye drop than recommended, wipe out the excess medicine with a clean tissue or cotton.
If you have missed instilling a dose of Moxtif Eye Drop, instil it as soon as possible. Do not over-use this medicine to compensate for the missed instillation.

Moxtif Eye Drop is contraindicated for use in breastfeeding women.
