Vanking 250mg Infusion (Neon)

VANKING 250MG INJECTION contains Vancomycin which belongs to the group of medicines called Glycopeptide antibiotics. It is used for the management of serious infections caused by susceptible strains of methicillin-resistant (beta-lactam-resistant) staphylococci bacteria.

VANKING 250MG INJECTION is used for the management of endocarditis (infection to the inner lining of heart with symptoms of fever, chills, difficulty in breathing etc) as well as is used for the management of hospital acquired pneumonia, infections of skin and tissues below skin, bone and joints (involves osteomyelitis, arthritis, spinal infections etc with symptoms of pain, fever, chills, swelling in joints etc).

Also, it is used to manage central nervous system infection (meningitis, abscess, brain enlargement with symptoms of headache, fever, mood changes) and blood caused by bacteria. Symptoms of these infections are usually recurrent fever and chills, headache and difficulty in breathing. VANKING 250MG INJECTION is also used to manage infections in patients who are allergic to the medicines containing penicillin and cephalosporins.

VANKING 250MG INJECTION is not recommended in patients who have hypersensitivity to vancomycin.

Before receiving VANKING 250MG INJECTION inform your doctor if you have kidney diseases or hearing diseases. VANKING 250MG INJECTION should be used in caution in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Consult your doctor before receiving it.

The common side effects of receiving VANKING 250MG INJECTION include difficulty in breathing, fall in blood pressure, redness of body and face, fever, etc. Contact your physician if any of the symptoms worsen with time.

USES OF VANKING 250MG INJECTION

Used in adults and children

• To manage endocarditis (infection to the inner lining of heart with symptoms of fever, chills, difficulty in breathing)
• Manage serious or severe infections caused by susceptible strains of methicillin-resistant (beta-lactam-resistant) staphylococci
• Manage hospital acquired pneumonia (infection of the lungs that makes airspaces to be filled with fluid or pus with the symptoms of fever and chills, cough with phlegm or pus, headache, difficulty in breathing, tiredness)
• Manage infections of the skin
• Manage infections of bone and joint (includes osteomyelitis, arthritis, spinal infections etc with symptoms of pain in bones, fever with chills, swelling in joints, pain at the site)
• Manage infections of central nervous system (such as meningitis (infection of brain), abscess, brain enlargement)

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

VANKING 250MG INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into a vein as an intravenous infusion. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

• swelling at injection site (thrombophlebitis)
• skin rashes with fever
• redness in face and body

• whistling sound while breathing
