Nidcort 0.05% Lotion is a topical corticosteroid formulation containing betamethasone. It is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.
These conditions include, but are not limited to, psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. The active ingredient, betamethasone, functions by reducing inflammation, swelling, and redness in the affected skin areas. This medication is intended for external application only and should be used strictly as directed by a healthcare professional.
Prolonged use or application over large body surface areas, especially without medical supervision, is not recommended due to the potential for systemic absorption and adverse effects. Adherence to prescribed duration and application guidelines is crucial for safe and effective treatment.
Nidcort Lotion is meant for external application, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have applied extra quantities of it, wipe out the excess of the medicine with tissue or cotton.
If you have missed applying Nidcort Lotion, apply it as soon as possible. Do not over-apply this medicine to compensate for the missed application.
Nidcort Lotion contains Beclometasone that belongs to a class of steroids. Nidcort Lotion which works by decreasing the action of certain chemicals present in the body that causes swelling, redness and pain.

If you get Lotion in the eyes, rinse with water thoroughly. Keep your eyes open when you rinse.
