Oncofluor Injection is an anticancer medicine containing Fluorouracil as its active ingredient. It is used for the treatment of cancer of the breast, bowel, stomach, oesophagus and pancreas. It may also be used to treat certain other cancers.

Oncofluor Injection will be given to you by a doctor or nurse at the hospital setting or a clinic. Inform your doctor about all the known medical conditions, medical and medication history as well as all the medicines you are taking, including herbal supplements.

Dosage

Overdose

• Your doctor or nurse will give Oncofluor Injection. Therefore, it is less likely that you will receive more of this medicine. If you experience the symptoms right after taking the injection, seek medical help.

Missed a Dose

You will be monitored by your doctor or nurse on when the injection should be given to you. It is unlikely that the dose will be missed. However, if you think your doctor or nurse might have missed a dose, inform them.

Pregnancy

Can I take Oncofluor Injection during pregnancy?

Oncofluor Injection should be avoided in pregnancy. During treatment with this injection and after 6 months and at least 6 months afterwards, women of childbearing potential are advised to use an effective method of contraception.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Oncofluor Injection while breastfeeding?

Contraindications

If you are allergic to Fluorouracilor or any of the ingredients of Oncofluor Injection. If you suffering from bone marrow depression. If you have any serious infection. If you are malnourished. If you are breastfeeding. If you are taking brivudine, sorivudine or their chemically similar medicines. Oncofluor Injection should not be used for treatment of non-malignant cancer.
