Orul gel is an oral gel that provides temporary relief from pain and discomfort due to mouth ulcers, dentures or dental braces. Orul gel contains a combination of choline salicylate and benzalkonium chloride. It works by blocking the pain-causing chemical messengers which lead to relief in the pain caused due to mouth ulcers.
Orul gel is meant for topical application and should not be swallowed. Apply this medication as directed by the doctor on the sore area. Do not eat or drink anything immediately after the application of this gel.
Excess of Orul gel will lead to salicylate toxicity causing symptoms like dizziness, ringing in the ears and deafness. If you experience any of the symptoms or if you have swallowed this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
