Otiflox ear drops is an antimicrobial medicine. It contains a combination of neomycin, clotrimazole, beclomethasone and lidocaine as active ingredients. It acts as an antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory (steroid), and local anaesthetic that is used to treat ear infections.
Use Otiflox drops in a dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
As Otiflox ear drops is meant for external application, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have applied extra quantities of it, then wipe out the excess of the medicine with tissue or cotton.
If you have missed using Otiflox ear drops, then instill the drops as soon as you remember if the next installation is more than 4 hours later. If it is almost time for the next installation, then skip the missed dose and instill the drops at the time of the next dose as planned. You should avoid driving immediately after instilling Otiflox ear drops. You can drive once you feel comfortable and fully alert.
Alcohol is not known to interact with Otiflox ear drops. However, ask your doctor for advice on the use of alcohol with this medicine.
