Perifer Tablet is a medicine used to lower blood pressure. It contains Indapamide as its active ingredient. Perifer is a water pill, which works by removing excess water and salt from the body.
This Tablet should be used by individuals over 18 years of age. Perifer should be preferably taken in the morning or daytime. High blood pressure or hypertension is a critical health condition, hence you should continue to take this medicine even if you feel well.
You should also follow a healthy diet and maintain certain lifestyle modifications to control your blood pressure.
Symptoms of an overdose of the Perifer Tablet may include nausea (feeling sick), vomiting, low blood pressure, cramps, feeling dizzy or drowsy, confusion and changes in the amount of urine produced. If you have taken too much of this medicine inform your doctor immediately or visit your nearest hospital.
You should never miss a dose of your blood pressure medicine as it may lead to increased blood pressure. If you forget to take a dose of your medicine, take the next dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Perifer Tablet is a water pill. It works by acting on the kidneys. It increases the urinary output and hence increases the excretion of water and salt from the body. This helps in reducing cardiac output and blood pressure.
Perifer should not be taken during pregnancy, if you become pregnant while taking this medicine or wish to become pregnant inform your doctor immediately.
Breastfeeding is not advisable if you are taking the Perifer as the active ingredient of this medicine can pass into the breastmilk and affect the newborn.
Perifer can make you feel dizzy or tired especially right after the therapy is initiated. Be cautious and avoid driving if you experience such symptoms.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking the Perifer tablet.

If you are allergic to indapamide or any other ingredient of the Perifer Tablet. If you have an existing kidney failure or liver failure. If you have low levels of potassium in your body.
Perifer Tablet is a water pill (diuretic). It is used for the treatment of high blood pressure.
The best time to take the Perifer is in the morning or as advised by the doctor. Do not take this medicine too late in the day (after 4 pm) or at night, otherwise, you may have to wake up to go to the toilet.
