Perinorm Injection is used to treat nausea and vomiting. It contains metoclopramide as its active ingredient. Metoclopramide acts by increasing the movement of the food into the food pipe to the stomach and intestine.
It is administered under medical supervision. It should not be used for children below 1 year of age and breastfeeding mothers. Inform your doctor about all the medical conditions and medications you had or are currently taking, before taking Perinorm Injection.
You may feel sleepy, diarrhoea, weakness, low blood pressure after taking Injection. If these symptoms do not resolve over time or worsens, reach out to the nearest doctor or hospital.
Perinorm Injection will be given by a doctor or nurse thus chances of overdose are unlikely. However, if you experience any discomfort or specific symptoms such as tremors, slow or irregular movements, muscle twitching (metabolic alkalosis), weakness, drowsiness, a decreased level of consciousness, confusion, hallucination, heart or respiratory failure, inform your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital.
It is unlikely that the dose of Perinorm Injection will be missed if you are monitored in a healthcare set up. However, if you have missed taking any dose of this Injection, inform your doctor or nurse immediately.
Perinorm Injection works by increasing the movement of food in the stomach and intestine.
Perinorm Injection should not be used during the end term of pregnancy, as it can cause harm to the unborn baby. However, your doctor may give you this medicine only if it is needed. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
Perinorm Injection passes into the breastmilk and can cause harm to the newborn baby. Inform your doctor if you are a nursing mother.
Perinorm Injection may cause drowsiness, dizziness. Hence, avoid driving if it affects you.
No, you should not consume alcohol with Perinorm Injection, as it can increase the risk of drowsiness.
