Polyvol Measured Volume Fluid Administration Set is a medical device used for precise and controlled fluid delivery in critical care settings. Its transparent, cylindrical, and calibrated measurement volume chamber features a bold scale for accurate fluid measurement.

It has a micro-drip system that delivers 60 drops per mL for precise infusion control. It is made with soft, kink-resistant PVC tubing, and it is DEHP-free and latex-free, ensuring patient comfort and reducing allergic reactions.

Its bacteria-retentive air inlet on the spike ensures a contamination-free infusion process, enhancing patient safety. Equipped with an automatic shut-off valve, it prevents air entry when the burette chamber is empty and conveniently indicates the fluid level.

Directions for Use

• Close the upper clamp & regulating clamp (lower clamp).
• Remove the anti-kink device before using the product from the bottom.
• Remove the spike cover and insert it into the I.V. fluid container to its full length.
• Open the upper clamp and air vent to allow about 25 mL of solution into the graduated burette. Close the upper clamp.
• Squeeze the drip chamber and adjust the fluid level till 1/3rd filled
• Remove the cap of the connector of the IV set and slightly open the regulating clamp to remove air from the tubing.
• Close the regulating clamp.
• Open the upper clamp to allow solution flow into the graduated chamber until the desired volume is obtained. Do not fill the chamber beyond its maximum capacity. Close the upper clamp and connect the set to the IV device.
• Open the regulating clamp. Adjust the drop rate and control the infusion with the regulating clamp. Allow the infusion to continue.
• The valve will shut off the fluid flow when the solution level in the graduated chamber is zero.
• When more solution is required, close the regulating clamp and open the upper clamp to fill the graduated chamber until the desired level. Close the upper clamp and squeeze the drip chamber a little to release the float valve.
