Renostead Tablet is a combination medicine is used to treat chronic kidney disease. It also works as a nutritional supplement. It contains amino acids known as taurine and N-Acetylcysteine, both are essential amino acids and helps to meet the specific nutritional requirements.
They are important antioxidants that help in the treatment of many kidney problems. It also improves the kidney functions in a chronic hemodialysis patient. This medicine is also useful in Paracetamol poisoning and radiocontrast induced kidney damage.
Do not take this medicine if you are having a history of an allergy to any of the components of the medicine. Inform your doctor if you are suffering from any other conditions or taking medicines for it. Take this medicine as per the doctor's advice.
Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to make up for the forgotten dose. Do not stop taking this medicine without a doctor’s advice, as this may result in a flare-up of symptoms.

Renostead Tablet may make you feel dizzy, you should avoid driving if you do not feel well or are unable to be alert.
Although there is no known interaction with alcohol and Renostead Tablet, it is essential to consult your physician if you have a habit of consuming alcohol regularly.

Renostead Tablet is used in the treatment of many kidney problems like Diabetic nephropathy, Tubulointerstitial damage, Mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammatory glomerular injury, chronic renal failure. It also improves kidney function in a chronic hemodialysis patient. This medicine is also useful in Paracetamol poisoning and radiocontrast induced kidney damage.
Renostead Tablet contains amino acids known as Taurine and N-Acetylcysteine. Both are essential amino acids and works as nutritional supplement and antioxidants. N-Acetylcysteine gets converted to cysteine in the body. This cysteine helps to maintain Glutathione stores in the body. Glutathione helps to neutralise the damaging effects of free radicals induced cell and tissue damage. Taurine is a type of essential amino acid, which is found throughout the body. It helps in improving kidney blood flow, kidney functions and functions of cells of blood vessels. Thus, it helps to improve various kidney-related conditions and improves the body’s natural antioxidant defence system.
Stop taking this medicine if you experience any abnormal symptoms during the course of the treatment. Do not stop taking this medicine by yourself as it may increase the chances of symptoms coming back.
Tell your doctor about any of the other medicines you are taking which includes medicines without prescription and herbal medicines as well, as these medicines may alter the effectiveness of the Renostead Tablet or increase the chances of side effects.
This medicine may pass into the foetal circulation and adversely affect the baby, thus it is advisable to take a doctor's advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant or are planning to have a baby.
