Sinarest syrup is a cough and cold medication. It contains a combination of paracetamol, chlorpheniramine, phenylephrine and sodium citrate as active substances. Sinarest Syrup is used in the treatment of symptoms of the common cold in children aged 2 to 12 years.
Give this medicine to your child exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Before starting Sinarest syrup, inform your doctor about your child's complete medical history. Taking more than the daily dose of Sinarest syrup may cause serious liver damage or allergic reactions such as swelling of the face, mouth and throat, difficulty in breathing, itching and rashes.
According to the advisory issued by the Union Health Ministry, cough and cold medications should not be prescribed or dispensed to children under two years of age. These medications are generally not recommended for children under five years old. For children above that age, any use should be based on careful clinical evaluation and close supervision.
