Sompraz L capsule contains a combination of esomeprazole and levosulpiride as active ingredients. It is an anti-reflux medicine that is used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). GERD is a condition when the acid from the stomach comes up to the food pipe along with the contents of the stomach and causes heartburn, chest pain, burning, pain and regurgitation of food or sour liquid.
Sompraz L is also useful in the treatment of stomach and intestinal ulcers. It blocks the acid-producing pumps of stomach cells. Tell your doctor if you have an abnormal heart rhythm or take medicines for other mental illnesses.
Take it at the exact dose prescribed by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you get allergic reactions or if symptoms don’t improve after using it. A combination of esomeprazole and levosulpiride is also included in Nexpro L capsule , Esogress L Sr capsule , Esmetru L capsule , Esomac L capsule and Esomefol Sl capsule .
Before using the Sompraz L capsule, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. Overdose of this medicine may increases the chances of side effects like tremors, difficulty and slow movements or sleep problems.
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Do not stop taking this medicine without doctor’s advice, as this may result in flare up of symptoms.
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby. After careful clinical examination and evaluation of the risk-benefit ratio, your doctor may prescribe you this medicine.
This medicine may pass into breast milk and adversely affect your baby. So, do not use this medicine without a doctors advice.
You may experience numbness, dizziness or involuntary movements during treatment with this medicine so avoid driving or using heavy machinery if you experience any of the side effects.
No, consumption of alcohol is not recommended as it increases the chances of dizziness and liver damage.

It is advisable to avoid spicy, oily, or fried foods as they can exacerbate symptoms of GERD and may interfere with the medication’s effectiveness.

Sompraz L capsule contains medicine known as Esomeprazole and Levosulpride.
