Sorbitrate Tablet is used to prevent chest pain associated with angina pectoris, which occurs due to spasms in the heart's blood vessels, often resulting from blockages. The active ingredient in this medication is glyceryl trinitrate, also known as nitroglycerin. It acts as a vasodilator, helping to relax and widen the blood vessels in the heart, thus reducing the pressure on the heart and making it easier to pump blood.
You should take this medicine as directed by your doctor and never stop taking it without consulting them first, as doing so may increase the risk of heart-related complications. Be sure to inform your doctor of all known medical conditions and any medications you are currently taking.
Symptoms of an overdose of Sorbitrate Tablets may be decreased blood pressure, reduced blood flow to the heart, headache, confusion, nausea, vomiting, increased pressure within the brain, etc. If you think you had too much of this medicine, reach out to the doctor immediately.
If you have missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
