Sucrosync Syrup is an anti-ulcer medicine. It is used for the treatment of ulcers in the stomach and the intestine. It contains sucralfate as its main ingredient which is a medicine called cytoprotective medicine.
Sucralfate adheres to the ulcer site and protects it from further damage due to acid, enzymes and bile salts thus enabling healing. Sucrosync Syrup should be taken on an empty stomach as suggested by your doctor. You should also avoid taking antacids one hour before or after taking this medicine.
Shake the bottle well, before each use. It is advised to make certain lifestyle changes. As an unhealthy lifestyle pattern is linked with the occurrence of ulcers.
Try to have a balanced diet, exercise regularly, cope with stress, avoid smoking, limit alcohol intake and get sufficient night sleep.
Tell your doctor or reach out to the nearby hospital in case of an overdose. You may experience dyspepsia, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.
Take this medicine as soon as you remember. If its already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
Sucralfate protects the lining of the stomach surface by forming a barrier between damaged ulcer tissue and acid/enzymes present in the stomach or intestine. This protects the ulcer from coming in contact with acid, enzymes & bile salts and enables healing.
It is not known if Sucrosync is safe to be used in pregnant women. Hence, it should be used only if prescribed by a doctor.
It is not known if Sucrosync can pass in breastmilk. It is advisable to be cautious if you are taking this medicine while breastfeeding.
Sucrosync can make you feel sleepy or dizzy. Avoid driving if affected.
You should avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine as alcohol is known to cause an increase in acid production in the stomach that can worsen your condition.
