Suganril tablet is a pain reliever that contains piroxicam. It is used to treat pain and inflammation caused by conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, joints and muscle pain. It can also help relieve post-operative pain and period pain.
Piroxicam works by blocking the production of natural substances that cause pain and inflammation. Suganril tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It can be taken with or without food.
However, it is recommended to take it with food to avoid stomach upset. Ugesic 20 tablets , Pirox DT tablet and Dolonex DT tablet also contain piroxicam as their active medicine. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting Suganril Tablet.
If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, immediately contact your treating doctor or visit your nearby hospital. Always carry the package of the tablet along with you for easy assessment of the severity of an overdose.
If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Suganril Tablet works by interfering with the production of a chemical called prostaglandins, which is responsible for swelling and pain.
Suganril Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine. It can be taken before or after food.
