Valpret Cr Tablet is an antiepileptic medicine. It is used for the treatment of various forms of epilepsy. Epilepsy is a brain-related disorder that can result in abnormal brain activity, uncontrolled movements, fits, seizures and loss of consciousness.
It is also used for the treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder. Valpret Cr Tablet contains sodium valproate as the active ingredient. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed.
It can be taken with or without food. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history, including all the medicines you are currently taking.
You should not take Valpret Cr Tablet during pregnancy or if you are planning to have a baby. This medicine may cause harm to your baby. Valpret Cr Tablet may make you feel sleepy or confused. Individuals must avoid driving or operating heavy machinery immediately after consuming this medicine.
Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Valpret Cr Tablet as alcohol can affect the concentration of this medicine in your body and can also affect its desired action.

An overdose of Valpret Cr Tablet should be immediately reported to your treating doctor or nearby hospital. Always carry the package of the Tablet along with you for easy assessment of the severity of an overdose.
You should never miss a dose of this medicine as it can aggravate your medical condition. Take the missed dose as soon as possible. Never double dose to compensate for the missed dose.
