Tefadil Tablets

Tefadil Tablet is antihypertensive medicine. It is used to treat high blood pressure and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Tefadil conatins terazosin as active ingredient.

It works by loering the blood pressure and relaxing the blood pressure as well as muscles around prostate and bladder. Take Tefadil as advised by yuor doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own.

Dosage

Overdose

Excess of Tefadil may cause hypotension (low blood pressure) and other complications. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital

Missed a Dose

• Missing a dose of antihypertensives may lead to high blood pressure and other heart related complications.
• If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Terazosin acts by relaxing the blood vessels and thus lowers the raised blood pressure. It also eases the urination by relaxing the bladder and prostrate muscles.

Directions for Use

• Take Tefadil Tablet as a whole with sufficient amount of water, with or without food.
• You should take this medicine regularly at a fixed time and as directed by your doctor. Do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

Pregnancy

Can I take Tefadil Tablet during pregnancy?

Tefadil Tablet should be taken during pregnancy only if considered essential by the doctor as limited safety data is available in pregnant women. If you get pregnant while on treatment, contact your doctor immediately.

Can I take Tefadil Tablet while breastfeeding?

You should not breastfeed your baby while on Tefadil Tablet.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Tefadil Tablet?

Tefadil may blur your vision and make you dizzy and sleepy, you should avoid driving if you do not feel well or are unable to be alert.

Can I consume alcohol with Tefadil Tablet?

You should avoid consuming alcohol while taking Tefadil Tablet, as it may worsen the side effects of this medicine. Talk to your doctor if you consume it often.

• You experience decrease in blood pressure or loss of balance while standing up from a sleeping or siting position.
• You have kidney or liver disease.

• You are on any erectile dysfucntion medicine.

• If you have a history of fainting during or immediately after urinating. (mituration syncope).
