Telekast L Kid Syrup is an anti-allergic medicine. It is used for the management of symptoms such as a runny and stuffy nose (allergic rhinitis), airway blockage, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and other allergic reactions.Telekast L Kid Syrup contains montelukast and levocetirizine as active ingredients.
It works by reducing airway constriction and swelling while blocking the production of chemicals responsible for allergy symptoms.It is recommended to take this medicine preferably at bedtime, as it may cause dizziness. Shake the bottle well before use.
Take it in the exact dose and for the prescribed duration. Before using Telekast L Kid Syrup, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, and provide your complete medical history. According to the advisory issued by the Union Health Ministry, cough and cold medications should not be prescribed or dispensed to children under two years of age.
These medications are generally not recommended for children under five years old. For children above that age, any use should be based on careful clinical evaluation and close supervision.
Symptoms of overdose of Telekast L Kid Syrup include drowsiness, aggression, restlessness, thirst, and headache. In case of an overdose, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
The safety of Telekast L Kid Syrup in pregnancy is not established. Do not take this medicine unless prescribed by your doctor.
It is not safe to use Telekast L Kid Syrup during breastfeeding as Levocetirizine passes into human milk and can harm the baby. It can cause drowsiness in the breastfed baby.
Telekast L Kid Syrup may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Be cautious while driving or operating any machinery after taking this medicine.
It is advised to avoid alcohol consumption during the treatment with Telekast L Kid Syrup, as it might alter your alertness. Do not drink alcohol if you are taking any medicines for sleeplessness, as the side effects may worsen.
