Telma-LN 40 Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults. It contains two active ingredients: cilnidipine and telmisartan. Cilnidipine works by blocking the influx of calcium into blood cells.
This helps to relax the blood vessels and lower blood pressure. Telmisartan works by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II, which causes blood vessels to constrict. Hypertension is a condition in which the force of the blood against the blood vessel walls is too high.
This can lead to several health problems, including heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure. Telma-LN 40 Tablet is not recommended for use in people with certain medical conditions, such as severe liver impairment, advanced aortic stenosis, or primary aldosteronism. It is also not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women or in children and adolescents under the age of 18.
