Topifort-NX topical suspension is a topical preparation. Topifort-NX topical suspension is used for the treatment of various bacterial or fungal skin infections, in conditions such as itching, allergies, redness and inflammation suspected. It is a combination of three medicines containing clobetasol, clotrimazole and neomycin.
Clobetasol is a steroid and has anti-inflammatory properties, neomycin is an antibacterial agent and clotrimazole is an antifungal agent. The combined action of all three components is useful to treat certain skin ailments. It is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor.
It is recommended to use this topical suspension only for the condition it is prescribed by your treating. Applying this topical suspension for other conditions may further worsen the skin condition. Maintain skin hygiene, keep the infection area sweat-free, wash your hands before and after applying the Topifort-NX topical suspension.
Avoid repetitive touching at the site of infection, and wash your clothes separately.
As Topifort-NX topical suspension is meant for external application, the cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have overapplied it, wipe out excess medicine with tissue or cotton.
If you have missed applying Topifort-NX topical suspension, apply it as soon as possible. Do not overapply this medicine just to compensate for the missed dose.
There is limited data about the effect of Topifort-NX topical suspension on pregnancy. It should be used only when prescribed by your doctor. In case you have prescribed this topical suspension, avoid using it in larger skin areas for a prolonged duration.
Topifort-NX topical suspension can be used by a breastfeeding woman if prescribed by the doctor. It should not be applied to the breast or areas near the breast of breastfeeding mother as there can be chances of ingestion of this by a breastfed infant. Avoid using it on large areas of skin or for a prolonged period.
Topifort-NX topical suspension is a topical preparation and may not affect the driving ability or ability to handle machinery.
There is no direct interaction between alcohol and this topical suspension. However, you should avoid consuming alcohol as it can worsen the infection and delay healing.
