Trajenta Duo tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains linagliptin and metformin as its active components. This medicine controls blood glucose levels when diet, exercise and linagliptin or metformin alone are not effective.
Trajenta Duo tablet should be taken in correct doses and for the exact duration as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid missing a dose or consuming it more than the prescribed dose. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding; about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from, before starting this medicine.
Patients are advised to maintain certain lifestyle modifications such as strict exercise, quit smoking, limit alcohol consumption, diet regimen etc. along with the diabetic medications to get the best possible effect.
Symptoms of overdose may lead to lactic acidosis (symptoms include stomach discomfort, decreased appetite, diarrhoea, fast or shallow breathing, weakness etc.). If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, seek medical care immediately.
If you have missed taking a dose of the Trajenta Duo tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dose schedule. Avoid taking a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
Avoid taking this medicine, as there is little information about its safety during pregnancy. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby before starting the medicine.
You should avoid taking this medicine while breastfeeding as the components of this medicine are known to pass into the breastmilk. Consult the doctor before using medication during breastfeeding.
