Your doctor or nurse will carefully monitor and schedule your injections, making it unlikely for a dose to be missed. However, if you suspect a dose might have been overlooked, let them know immediately.
Trastuzumab is a targeted cancer therapy that specifically targets cancer cells overproducing the HER2 protein. By attaching to HER2, it inhibits cell growth and division. It enhances the immune system's ability to recognize and eliminate these cancer cells. Trastuzumab primarily affects HER2-positive cancer cells, minimizing its impact on healthy cells, and making it a valuable treatment option for these cancers.
Trumab injection will be given to you in the hospital by your doctor or nurse. Follow any instructions suggested by the doctor or nurse during the procedure or for aftercare.
Trumab injection should be avoided in pregnancy and during treatment with this injection and after 7 months after treatment has ended, it is advised to use an effective method of contraception.
Trumab injection can pass into breast milk, which could potentially harm a breastfeeding baby. Therefore, it's strongly recommended to avoid breastfeeding during Trumab injection treatment and for 7 months after the last dose of the medication.
Trumab injection treatment may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. If you experience side effects like dizziness, sleepiness, chills, or fever during treatment, avoiding driving or operating machinery is crucial until these symptoms subside.
