Volitra APS skin solution contains diclofenac. It is a pain killer that is to be applied to the skin. It helps to reduce pain and swelling associated with sprains and strains.
It can also be used for the reduction of the pain in joints due to Arthritis. This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Itching and rashes at the site application can be experienced when this medicine is applied.
If you experience any severe skin reaction after using this medicine, contact your director immediately.
As this medicine is meant for external application, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have overapplied it wipe out the excess quantity with tissue or cotton.
If you have missed any application of this medicine, apply it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next application, skip the missed application and continue with your regular schedule. Do not overapply this spray to compensate for the missed application.
This medicine is to be applied locally at the site of injury. It contains diclofenac which acts by interfering with the production of a chemical called prostaglandin which is responsible for swelling, pain and inflammation. It inhibits prostaglandin thereby reducing all the pain and inflammation.
It is advised not to use this medicine during pregnancy, especially in the last trimester as it may harm the foetus. The doctor may give you this medicine in the first 6 months of pregnancy for a short duration and a low dose if required.
This medicine should be used under medical supervision. It should not be applied to the breast of a breastfeeding mother or elsewhere on large areas of skin or for a prolonged period.
This medicine is to be applied to the skin and thus it does not affect your driving ability. So, you can drive.
There is no direct interaction between alcohol and Volitra APS skin solution gel. However, alcohol is known to worsen infection and inflammation; it's better to avoid consuming alcohol when you have been prescribed this medicine.

Since this medicine is to be used externally on the skin, it is less likely to interact with other medicines. However, you should always consult your doctor if you are taking other medicines for treating other health conditions.
Do not use it for a longer time than your doctor suggested. Do not apply this medicine to windburned or sunburned skin or on open wounds. Do not use this medicine in or around the eyes, lips, or inside of the nose. Wash your hands after applying this medicine.
