Ranidom-O suspension is a combination medicine that is used to treat acidity, heartburn, gas, stomach ulcers, and GERD. It consists of magaldrate, simethicone, and oxetacaine as its active ingredients. It belongs to the class of medicines called antacids and anti-flatulent.

It helps to relieve burning sensation, gas formation, and discomfort in the stomach which is associated with acidity. It is also helpful in treating pain and discomfort associated with ulcers in the food pipe (oesophagus) and the stomach. Sometimes you may experience certain common side effects such as constipation, diarrhoea, and intestinal pain in some cases.

Although, these symptoms usually resolve on your own. However, if you feel the symptom persistently, speak to your doctor immediately.

Dosage

Overdose

If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, and experience any unusual symptoms, immediately contact your or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you have missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.

• Ranidom-O suspension works by the combined action of its three active ingredients.
• Simethicone is an an oral anti-foaming agent. It acts on the stomach/intestine and enables gas elimination more easily by dissolving the gas bubbles. Thus, helps in reducing bloating or pain due to excessive gas.
• Magaldrate neutralizes the acid in the stomach and reduces the direct acid irritant effect.
• Oxetacaine produces a reversible loss of sensation by preventing the conduction of sensory nerve impulses and thus relieves the pain caused by stomach ulcer.

Directions for Use

• Take this medication exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
• Shake the bottle well before using this medication.
• It should preferably be taken at least one hour before meals to prevent acidity.
