In India, every pharmacy must hold a valid drug retail licence issued under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, regulated by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) and the respective State Drug Control Department. Only licensed pharmacies can legally dispense Schedule H, H1, and X medicines. Doctar lists only CDSCO / state-drug-licence-verified stores, so you can be confident that each listing is a legitimate, law-compliant medical establishment.
